My Philosophy
Many people in today’s society believe that becoming a teacher is an easy job because the profession of teaching comes with a lot of benefits such as having the weekends off from work, summer vacation, and even winter vacation. Although those benefits would sound great to have for one’s profession, using the motivation of having summer breaks and weekends off will not work for one who wants to become a teacher. Teachers who use the benefits as motivation when becoming a teacher will quickly burn out and will eventually quit their job. With that being said, only the teachers who are passionate in what they are doing can truly survive the profession of teaching, while enjoying the benefits the comes along the way. There are many reasons as to why one would want to become a teacher, but my three main reasons are because I want to prepare the future generation of students for the challenges they will face in college, meet new people and learn from them in order to further my growth as a teacher and as a person, and lastly, I want to make a difference in my students’ lives as a student and an individual.
